Status Check.
Status: Sofa and Slipcover are available from IKEA, but for some reason the slipcovers are always out of stock.
Slipcover: IKEA Kivik slipcovers available from Comfort Works
Measurements: IKEA Kivik sofa dimensions and measurements.
Cool Factor: Large, spacious, contemporary and modern looking. It has large armrests that serve as additional seating and the armrests can be detached when joining the Kivik with any other Kiviks to create a Kivik sectional.
Ugh Factor: Unnaturally low armrests which just doesn’t feel quite right. It’s also a little pricier than expected.

In short, the Kivik is actually quite a looker and somewhat comfortable for an IKEA sofa – but it’s just a little bit pricey.

Is it possible to convert my kivik sectional into two separate couches? I want to get rid of the corner portion of the sectional. I can’t find on the Ikea website if you can just buy two armrests to do this.

That’s a fabulous idea. However, you might want to check with your local IKEA store if they have stock of only the Kivik armrests.

I am looking at purchasing the Kivik 5 seater sectional. Can this be assembled with the longer end to the right OR left? In the description online the longer end is to the right (and of course I need it to the left). Thank you!

Could you please provide the answers for a few height measurements?
1) Floor to top of couch frame (back)
2) Floor to top of back cushion
3) Leg height

The rough measurements of the back of the Kivik would be about 70 cm. The leg height would be approximately 10 cm high.

Do you know if the Kivik corner section but without the corner has the same dimensions as the loveseat? So if I wanted to do just that two-seat section with a pair of Kivik arms, will a Kivik loveseat set of covers fit?

By default from IKEA, the Kivik Corner section minus the corner is indeed the 2-seat section :)
So as per your query, if you wanted a 2-seat section + a pair of arms then yes – the Kivik Loveseat covers should theoretically fit.

Does anyone have the dimensions needed for ordering replacement seat (not back) cushions for the standard Kivik Sofa?
